What It’s Like to Work Here
At Apperture, it’s a team atmosphere…all the way.
We LISTEN and ask questions for the benefit of our clients, and our company.
We LEARN from each other, and from our clients.
We SHARE issues and opportunities often, at daily check-ins, monthly presentations, and impromptu discussions.
We ENJOY working with each other and connecting outside of the office, whether axe throwing, Topgolf, bowling, a new hire welcome, or happy hour.
We provide all the healthcare, vacation, holiday, and retirement plan benefits you’d expect from a big company—and a few extras, like participation in our ESOP, from day one.
Your schedule is three days at the office, two remotely, and flexibility to support the team. We encourage daily standups with cameras on—we like everyone to be present!
Everyone has a manager to help guide your training plan and mentor your development. Every position has a CDP (Career Development Program) matrix – listing both core and opportunistic skills applied to job positions and levels. We’re not only interested in accessing where you are, but also how you might advance.
Most of our clients are close to one of our 3 offices in VA and throughout the Carolinas. From time to time, your job may require an overnight or two. Being at client sites, allows the opportunity to learn about client needs from the client themselves, and how they use what we create for them.
You can take advantage of Lunch ‘n Learns, our partner-provided training libraries, certification paths, and opportunities for hands-on learning, where we want you to try out the technology—and make mistakes.
Yes, you are on the cutting edge of manufacturing innovations, using AI, Machine Learning, and advanced software. You also have access to resources and learning opportunities from our partners such as Tulip, Seeq, and Emerson.
Nothing boring here! You’ll work in many different industries and with a variety of clients, use a wide range of technologies, and meet all types of stakeholders.
Be an Entrepreneurial Problem Solver.
“I was working in a staff augmentation role at one of our largest clients and they were talking about their need for additional resources. I brought that back to our sales organization and told the client that we could share some resumes for them to consider for these roles. I’m not only a valued resource, but also consider myself to be a trusted partner who can help my client in a multitude of ways.”
Express Your Creativity, While Being Challenged.
“We were doing Seeq work for one of our larger clients, building dashboards for them to use as part of their decision-making process. I was listening very carefully and realized that they also wanted to do predictive modeling to increase their data accuracy over time. I built a predictive model using AI to show them what I thought they were asking for. I could hardly believe how ‘wowed’ they were…and how proud I was.”
Life in The Fast Lane.
“Right from the start, I was able to use ‘all the tools in my toolbox’, leveraging dual degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I began installing software and performing audits, then progressed to managing large GMP systems and learning about validation, to ultimately become a system administrator onboarding our clients’ automation staff—all for the same client who transformed a field of gravel into one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities. Who gets to do all that in less than three years? Happy to say, I did, and am still learning more.”
